The medium weight is perfect for year-round sleeping, and the Italian linen feels softer with every wash. I've slept on these for three weeks now and the plum shade still looks as rich as the day they arrived.
The plum color is more muted in person than the photos, which I actually prefer for the bedroom. Hand-stitched seams feel sturdy, and the Italian linen has that breathable, lived-in softness right out of the wash. Just wish the pillowcases came in a slightly deeper envelope style.
The medium weight is perfect for me—not too heavy for summer nights, but substantial enough that it doesn't feel flimsy. It's hand-made in the USA and you can tell the stitching is solid, though I did need to wash it twice before it started to soften up.
