The 8-inch quilted squares give it such a nice tailored texture without feeling stiff. I've washed it twice already and the linen softened up, no pilling at all. Finally a coverlet that doesn't look flat on the bed.
I was worried ivory would look washed out, but it's a warm creamy tone that brightens my whole bedroom. The linen has a nice weight without being heavy, and the large quilted squares keep it from looking flat. It drapes neatly over my duvet and hasn't wrinkled after a wash.
